EVT Launches Vertex Mobile client, a powerful and efficient portable video surveillance monitoring tool

Security staffs are now able to attend to complex security scenarios, from any location and while on the move, by remotely accessing and controlling EVT’s Video Management and Recording systems from their mobile devices.

Israel, November 30^th, 2009 – EVT, a developer of video management software, today announced the latest enhancement to its video surveillance solutions for the security market – Vertex Mobile client. The Vertex Mobile client users can access and control any camera by selecting a device from permission based resource list. Using EVT’s advanced site navigation features such as the Image Content Navigation (ICN), enables ground staff to resolve security events quickly and efficiently.
With the ICN the operator can tail a moving object, either in live or playback, by navigating between the site’s cameras, clicking on ”hot zones” embedded within a camera's image to switch to an associated camera.

The Vertex Media Messaging Tool enables control room staff to send ground staff a message containing a video link to view any camera, either in live or playback. This powerful feature enables the control room staff to utilize their ground staff quickly and effectively. Ground staff can receive footage of a security breach seconds after the event, have a definite identification of their subject of interest and conduct a virtual chase using EVT’s Image Content Navigation (ICN).

EVT’s highly efficient Transcoding engine supports any type of video source, at any compression, resolution or bandwidth. It guarantees smooth and reliable video streaming to the mobile client regardless of the Cellular or Wi-Fi Network technology nor bandwidth used.
